07 March 2010 - Cloud 9 Hill Race 9 Mile - Congleton

Four Striders took part in this race with a special guest runner. Simone Capponi was first striders to finish in 1.04.55 followed bu Paul Riley in 1.08.57. Ian McNeil was tthird strider home in 1.12.17 followed by Gill Darby in 1.21.45. Special Guest Mariano Capponi Simone's dad finished in a great time of 1.16.50.
Well done all of you.
07 March 2010 - Trafford 10k

Four Striders took part in this fast flat 10k race around Partington First Strider home was Tim Fletcher in a PB time of 40.49 followed by Dave Pinnington in 41.26. Mark finch was third Strider finishing in a time of 46.12. Phil Murray finished in a time of 1.00.12. Well done all.
07 March 2010 - Farndon 10k
Mike Roberts was the only Strider taking part in this race and finished in a time of 50.05. well done Mike.
07 March 2010 - Stanley Park 10k BlackpoolMartin Swensson was the sole Strider taking part in this race finishing in a superb time of 34.10 (7th overall and a pb by over a minute). Well done Martin.

27 February 2010 - Standish Hall 10k Trail Race
Three striders took part in this race first strider home was Steve Pemberton in 49.41 followed but Gill Darby who clocked 52.07 and Sam Daby who was not far behind and finished in in a time of 53.15
14 February 2010 - Blackburn Winter Warmer 10k

Well done to Martin Swensson who ran 35.47 and was 4th in the open and 7th overall at the Winter Warmer 10k in Blackburn.
13 February 2010 - Parbold Hill Race 6.75m
Twenty One Striders took part in this race S Capponi in 49:50 was first strider to finish closely followed by M Hargreaves in 50:11. J Connolly was third strider finishing in 51:11. A Keeley in 52:41 was fourth strider home.

Michelle Kelly was the sole Strider taking part in this race and finished in a time of 51.08. Well done Michelle.

Paul
Riley and Simone Capponi took part in the Central Lancashire Half
Marathon Paul finished in 1.27.57 and Simone finished in 1.30.32 Well
done to both of you.
24 January 2010 - Chernobyl 10kFour
Striders took part in this race with Martin Swensson coming 5th overall
in a time great time of 35.28. Neil Kelly was second strider to finish
in 39.43. Tim Fletcher finished in a time of 43.32. Mark Finch
completed the race in 53.22. Well done everyone.
17 January 2010 - Four Villages Half Marathon
A good turnout for this race with a few PB's. Nigel Grant was first Strider home in 1.22.46 Well done Nigel.. Paul Riley was second Strider home in 1.27.29 PB knocking around 3 mins off his previous PB. Mark Hargreaves was third Strider home in 1.29.03. Dave Pinnington was fourth strider home in 1.32.41 PB knocking 6 mins off his previous PB. Marty Hirrell was fifth strider home in 1.33.00. Sixth Strider home was Andrew Stansfield in another PB time of 1.35.49 taking a minute off his previous best.

03 January 2010 - Delamere Dash Multi-terrain 6m

Two Striders took part in the Delamere Dash Andy Keely doing 41.18 and Pam Thurtle finishing in 46.30 on a cold and frosty morning in the forest.
01 January 2010 - Joe Salt New Years Day - Multi-Terrain - Rochdale

Two Striders took part in the first race of the New Year. A nice Multi-terrain race through the snow covered Whitworth Valley and around Cowm Reservoir and trail paths. Simone finished in a time of 27.44 and came 10th (Superb) and Dave Pinnington finished in a time of 31.43 and 31st overall. Great start to the New Year.

27 December 2009 - Ribble Valley 10k Clitheroe

Dave Pinnington was the sole Strider running in a snow bound Ribble Valley 10k clocking a time of 42.38. With most other races canceled due to the weather this race had a record turnout and a top class field with the first eight all finishing in under 30 mins.
27 December 2009 - Round the Walls 4.5m - ChesterThree Striders took part in this race Derek Ashcroft was first strider home in 23.15. Russel Burnham clocked 36.08 with Maria Motley 36.08
13 December 2009 - Calvia - Majorca Half Marathon
Well done to Shane and Carolyn on completing 12 half marathons in 12 months. The final one being in a rain sodden Majorca on Sunday both managed to complete the race in 2hrs 10 complete with Santa hats.
13 December 2009 - Mortimer Forest 10 Mile Hill Race

Six Striders took part in this tough Hill Race in Shropshire. Frst Strider home was Simone Capponi in 84.14 followed by Ian McNeil in 96.42. Dave Pinnington was third Strider home in 106.39

Jane Eardley was the sole representative in this road race and finished in a time of 1.19.07. Well done Jane.
12 December 2009 - Gt Langale Christmas Pudding 10kSix Striders took part in this Christmas Pudding 10k race. First Strider home was Neil Kelly in 39.12. Pam Thurtle was second Strider to finish in 43.36.

29 November 2009 - Florence Marathon
Well done to the two Striders who took part in the Florence Marathon. Cristina who got a time of 3.37.30 and Mandy who finished in 3.52.22. Excellent times.
28 November 2009 - McCain UK Cross Challenge 9.8km Sefton Park

Fourteen Striders took part in the McCain UK Cross Challenge Series 2009/2010 - Liverpool (incorporating the European Cross Country Trials) Jane Eardsley was the sole female Strider running in the Senior Womens Race.Thirteen men ran in the Seniors Mens Race with Paul Riley being the first Strider to cross the finish line.

Mike Roberts was the only Strider taking part in this race and finished in a time of 49.08. Well done Mike.
22 November 2009 - The Best 5k, Preston
Two Striders took part in the 5k race Mark Finch clocked a time of 22.45 and Terence Long finished in 26.30. Well done fellas.
15 November 2009 - Preston 10 Mile Road Race
Simone Capponi was first Strider home in this race in 1.03.43. Paul Riley was second Strider home in 1.05.00. Syd Omar crossed the line in 1.07.43.

Three Striders took part in this race Tarja Kinnunen was first Strider to finish in a time of 1.47.37. Shane Knott finished in 1.57.40 and Carolyn Houghton clocked 1.59.05. Well done all.

1 November 2009 - Hellrunner up North Race Delamere ForestTwo Striders took part in this mud bath of a race Simon Maskill finished the race in 1.40.10 and Gary Whitfield completed the race in 1.51.53. Well done both of you.
1 November 2009 - Derwentwater 10 mile road race Two Striders completed this race in the wind and heavy rain. David Cain finished in a time of 1.12.24 and wife Susan Cain completed the race in 1.20.24. Well done to the both of you.
1 November 2009 - New York City Marathon - PB for Maria Conaghan
Four Striders took part in this race and Maria Conaghan had a magnificent run and was the first Strider to cross the finish line in a time of 3.09.55 (PB) Unofficial. Neil Kelly was the second Strider home in 3:14:22. Said Omar clocked 3:26:11 and Simone and his (Dad) Mariano finished in 3:30:41. Fabulous times well done to all of you.

25 October 2009 - Great Cumbrian Half Marathon Carlisle
Two Striders took part in this race Carolyn Houghton clocked 2.00.15
and Shane Knott completed the race in 2.20.03.

Two Penny Lane Striders took part in the Saturday Cross Country race at Arrowe Park. Dave Lovatt finishing in 38.40 and Marty Hirrell clocking 41.12. Well done.

18 October 2009 - Diablo Trail Race California (25km 4500ft)Well done to Andy Keeley who did this race in 2.59.56 and by all accounts has some first rate blisters to show for his efforts.

11 October 2009 - Lecicester Marathon & Half Marathon
Tim Warn completed the marathon in 3.36.52 and Andrew Stansfield did the half marathon in 1.39.00 provisional result.
11 October 2009 - 10 Mile Pier to Pier - Blackpool to Fleetwood
Two Striders took part in this race Ste McNicholas came 17th in a time of 1.08.42 and Steve Pemberton completed the race in 1.18.29. Well done.
11 October 2009 - Birmingham World Half Marathon
Derek Ashcroft finished the race in 1.29.41. Well done to Chris Cummings who completed the Birmingham Half marathon in 2.13.36 knocking 20 mins off her (PB) time well done.
11 October 2009 - Royal Parks Half Marathon
Oonagh Jacquest completed the Royal Parks Half marathon in London in 1.56.36. A great effort from Oonagh who knocked 20 mins off her (PB). Well done
04 October 2009 - Alexander Park 5k
Ste McNicholas was the sole Strider running at this event and got an excellent time of 19.30. Well done Ste.
04 October 2009- Sandstone Trail Race - A Race distance 17.1 Miles
Nine Striders took part in this race grueling Trail race though Cheshire. Simone was the the first strider to finish in 02.09.28. Neil Kelly was second strider to finish in a time of 02.16.31. Maria Conaghan was third in a time of 02.23.16 just ahead of Frank Martin who was seconds behind in 02.23.29

A magnificent turnout of 35 Striders took part in the race with a few people getting PB's. Derek Ashcroft was the first Strider to finish in a time of 38.26 not far behind was Marty Hirrell in 39.36. Andy Keeley was 3rd Strider to finish in 40.19 and got a PB in the process well done Andy.
